Reshma Krishnan Barshikar is a travel writer and the author of Fade Into Red (Vintage Books, Random House India), which debuted in the Top 10 Amazon new releases in 2014. She contributes regularly to the National Geographic Traveller, India Today Travel Plus, Harper’s Bazaar, The Hindu. The Hindu Business Line, and travel magazines globally.
She is the co-founder of the well loved literary blog The Caterpillar Cafe which showcases novels, poetry and literary events. She completed her schooling at Brigidine School, Windsor, and graduated with honours in International Management from Oxford Brookes University (Class of 1999). She is an alumnus of the Indian School of Business (Class of 2003) and an HSBC Scholar.
She lives in Mumbai with her husband, Nikhil Barshikar, as well as the neighbours dog, Scotch, who is currently snoring at her feet. She can also be found chasing elephants in the Nilgiris.
